Its unique design, inspired by mulberry leaves and golden mountains, was created in collaboration with Gokayama washi artisans, making it an exclusive item of Kumano Shrine.
Since ancient times, the white snake has been regarded as a divine incarnation in Japanese culture, and there is a tradition of using snake sheddings as protective charms. It is believed that displaying the White Snake Talisman in places like your entrance, living room, or workspace will bring you divine protection and blessings.
The talisman is available next to the White Snake Omikuji (fortune slip) inside the worship hall. If you would like to receive one, please place an offering of 1,300 yen in the orange donation box provided.
Please note that the White Snake Talisman is available year-round at Kumano Shrine.
