This year, many foreign visitors who stayed at the art hotel Raku Doan, located in the scattered village of Toyama, visited the Kuwano Shrine.
You might think, “Since it’s in the countryside, there may not be anything special.” However, every overseas visitor who came said the same thing: “It’s wonderful.”
On the day of the autumn festival, the tourists truly enjoyed their experience of the shrine’s festival. After the festival, visitors gathered in the shrine grounds, and the evening continued with an exchange of culture with the local young people who have been organizing the festival every year, all while savoring the afterglow of the event.
The Kuwano Shrine and its surrounding scenery offer a place where you can feel the warmth, tranquility, and connection of people that are uniquely Japanese. I am truly happy to be able to share the beauty of Japanese culture with visitors from abroad.
